Half Route- 5.10+ [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Half Route- 5.10+
SETTING UP RAPPEL, SHOWING HOW OVERHANGING THE ROUTE IS.
  • Half Route- 5.10+/
  • As the name implies, this route is half the length as Huecos Rancheros and Namaste. Same character though, just not as overhung for as long. Hug jugs the whole way. One small rest before the last bolt as you can slide into a huge body sized hueco. Otherwise a pump fest for the grade to be sure. Keep it moving is what worked for me. Single rope will make the rappel, no worries.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
