Shoshoni's (Westmost) SW Couloir [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Shoshoni's (Westmost) SW Couloir
The westernmost and steepest of three couloirs on Shoshoni Peak's southwest face. Unlike the other two which are purely snow climbs, this one has a rocky crux in the lower portion. We found the crux to be in bad shape and opted to climb the short 5.2ish workaround rock pitch just right of the couloir instead. This worked well. Indian Peaks Wilderness, Colorado. June 2009.
