Clmbing on the East Ridge, high up on Mount Taranaki. The East ridge offers wonderful, consistent rock. This was a MUCH preferable climb to the standard bore of a trudge up the dusty people highway of the North. The rock along the ridge is surprisingly solid and consistent for being a volcano! Woo hoo! ... oh look, the Tasman Sea!
