It was a fantastic view. It was rather warm (also high humidity) in the cirque. The warm and dump air went upwards. Above the cirque cool winds blew and the humidity condensated. The forming cloud was thin and well visible in sunlight only . Thats the reason why you see the blue sky in the shadowed areas.

It's cool to observe "fangs of scattered sunlight" like that. Another one of similar nature though not as good as this one for sure.

Up there it was much more impressive than this small photo can show.

Later on, when standing on the ridge we could see our shadow in the mist surrounded by a beautiful halo.
