My pup used to go with me everywhere, even to the summit of some of the mountains. She lived to the young age of 16 and was very active for the first 13-14.
3 cheers for "Man's best friend"

Yes Marc, he has been to many summits...he prefers cragging now where he can relax and let the snow fed stream cool his belly, i.e. in this photo. BJ has visited many places, far more than most humans and is a damn good friend to be sure. Cheers.

""You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know.""   --Rene Daumal
