Lazy goats on Bomber Peak. [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Lazy goats on Bomber Peak.
Once reaching the top of Bomber Peak on Mt. Timpanogos, I was greeted to a large herd of mountain goats. These two seemed fairly insistent on staying where they were, not seeming to care about me being in the area. Photo taken about 25 feet away. The Alpine Ridge area is in the distance. July 24, 2009.

Very nicely done; looks like a beautiful time to be up there.

Thank you Brian, very much appreciated. It was a great day up there on the ridge, there was hardly any wind at all and the temps were about 20 degrees cooler than down in the valley area. It's a great way to escape the heat for sure.

I love mountain goats and have shared routes with them occasionally. They move effortlessly on low 5th class rock which is impressive.

Thank you Rob. It's pretty amazing at the terrain they cover, no fear of exposure at all. Even the calves seemed to exhibit this while up there. Instinct perhaps, equally cool.
