I wish Larry. It was the clouds that turned into the snow storm we climbed in. I did add some constrast to make it look like it really did. $75 bucks doesn't get a very good camera these days.

Thanks. It WAS awesome, and it really brought out the 3d nature of the face too, which you can't really see in this pointnshoot. Shadows of clouds are awesome, that is, until they takeover everything.

windy, cold... guess there could've been some rime climbing added for good measure. I even said "if this were October, I'd think those were snow clouds." Little did I know, they were.

You're definitely "the man" for producing this
wonderful image!

Incredible - the symmetry of the tent matches
the symmetry of the peak above it.

Aaaa, did you have this image planned from
the beginning, or was it spare of the moment?

it was "spare" of the moment Larry. But I DID appreiate the shadows, cause otherwise it would've been too washedout i think. I think BD can be held accountable for the symmetry.

I'm not sure what (or who) you mean by 'BD.'

Was that the name of your guide ?
(Hey, that's cool). I love shadows, too.

thx Matt. Too bad it was taken by a shitty camera and photographer. You would've made it look way better.

Fab place to camp out. And of course, the lighting is great.

Thats a gorgeous place for sure, and the morning clouds (that later produced a climb amplifying snowstorm) were a beautiful addition at the time. Thx.

This is really beautiful! I think the tent makes this picture! Something about the teal and brown colors in the tent.. the contrast of those colors againest the color of the granite...I love how the granite has a warm soft cafe au lait shade..I see Whitney so many times in pics were it is in the reds and oranges..so this lighting is so lovely I think. Such a beautiful picture..thank you for sharing it!
