From the end of Chapel Road in south Sedona, the Little Horse Trail winds
through the gap, leading into a shallow, verdant canyon on the opposite side
of the towering ridge.

In this section of the 18,150-acre Munds Mountain Wilderness, the trail enters pristine stands of Arizona Cypress and One-Seeded juniper trees.
