View of Bell Rock's prominent summit spire, as seen from the beginning of the Bell Rock Trail north of the rock. The usual route lies beyond the outcropping to the left of the spire, on the spire's east-facing side. In this photo, you can clearly see a crack leading to the summit. Many folks have lost their lives attempting to climb this rock. Most people only get up to a point beneath the spire, where they can admire the views of other red rock peaks in every direction. Bell Rock is still the most popular destination in the Sedona area. (Two people can be seen sitting on one of the rock's ledges.) August 13, 2009 Comments [ Post a Comment ]
