Central part of Bicaz gorge leaves an unforgetable impression in visitor's mind.

The road leading through the gorge joins historical provinces of Transylvania(Hun: Erdely) in the West and Moldova in the East, both being part of Romania nowadays.

Three counties on the western, Transylvanian side, nearby Bicaz gorge area are inhabited mostly by old, ethnic, magyar minority of Szekely people, so don't be suprised when meeting Hungarian speaking people out there!
