Another one of my shots from a 4-day backpacking trip up to the Pierre Lakes Basin. The lakes offer a unique and impressive view of the east face of Capitol Peak and Snowmass Mountain.

I've been eying Pierre Lakes for a few years now, but never had the chance to visit them. I hear finding the route up can be quite tricky. Are there good camping spots around any of the lakes? Looks very rocky.

	Hasn't voted	Thanks for the compliment on the photo. The camping there is great. Although the lakes are surrounded by huge boulders, there is a lot of soft, grassy area to camp on just above the southernmost lake. As for getting there... I unfortunately took a vow to not give out directions. But the route is written up online in a few places (I think maybe even on SP). A little perseverance is all you need really.
