July, 2000. Looking south to Mont Blanc from the base of the Aiguille du Tour. The first peak from the left is the Aigle du Chardonnet (3824m); the second peak from the left is the Aigle Verte (4122m); and the third from the left is Mont Blanc itself (4808m), located about 18 kilometers from the Aiguille du Tour.
