The wildflowers put on a spectacular display with Mt. Scott serving as the backdrop in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, OK. Imaged during my September 28, 2009 visit to hike to the top of Mt. Scott in celebration of six decades here on this great planet. For those unfamiliar with the refuge, immediately behind me as I shot the image were several bison grazing these wide-open plains.
