Larry and his wife (take a short break - that's her name) after scrambling over 600-feet to the First Saddle of Arizona's Cathedral Rock.
The ancient "Sinagua" Indians made the first ascents in the Sedona area,
edging up chiseled holds on steep slabs to reach their lofty cliff aeries.
Needless to say, lots of objective dangers are found on the Sedona spires.
These include loose blocks and boulders, removable handholds, bad bolts,
bad and hard-to-find protection, questionable anchors, and heinous
approaches filled with catclaw aracia, Spanish bayonet and several cactus
species.
Please ... wear a helmet and climb softly, placing lots of gear (from a large rack) on the routes!
As rock-climbing sensation Tim Toula notes in his book A Better Way to Die: "Don't fall! To fall on a route here is sheer stupidity. When in doubt, sew
it up !!!"

My wife and I have thought about moving to
Canada many times, but AZ seems to be our
home for the moment.
Even though ... there seems to be a flood of
people moving North in order to escape from

the walrus population in the very near future.
Global warming will wipe out the Polar Bear,
creating a ripple effect in the food chain.
Then again, the Romanian Bear might possibly

Voted 10/10 | I hope all the Icelandic walruses are getting enough exercise swimming in where just last year rose an isle of a booming "PC economy" which - no doubt logically - ended up with a loud boom.
As to the Romanian bear, I'm afraid it's enjoying this new brave world of ours as much as its polar cousin. :(

mercy of Nature since the beginning of time,
and that "unspoken truth" will never change.
