While I cycled up to Osterfelderkopf to ascend Alpspitze, I enjoyed this stunning view of Höllental. This view gives you an idea of the altitude difference of the Hölltental route up to Zugspitze.

The cable car visible is the Kreuzeckbahn. Summit buildings and summit cross of Zugspitze barely visible in the large version.
