Swiftcurrent Valley [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Swiftcurrent Valley
Taken from the switchbacks leading up to Swiftcurrent Mountain. The trail is on the Continental Divide at this point, and the extreme weather that sweeps over Swiftcurrent Pass and into the greater Many Glacier Valley is quite evident here.

Altyn Peak is the red, rounded summit to the left, with Mount Grinnell's long eastern ridge, known as Grinnell Point, on the right. Lake Sherburne is in the distance, and if you enlarge the photo you can just make out Many Glacier Hotel on the shores of Swiftcurrent Lake.
