Here you get a good idea of how steep the forest rises if you look at the background. The trail itself is nice and soft as you're traveling on soil and fallen plant life during this part. The trail is also signed as you see here, but it can be confusing so make sure you're heading towards "Indian Springs" and that should keep you towards the Crags to the top.
