Climbing the Knapsack Crack...
Climbing the Knapsack Crack on the Hogsback- running it out is optional- great gear placements are found throughout the route. 12 June, 2004 [photo by Joe]

One or two 5.5 moves. Most of it is easier than that.

Like Dave said, a lot of 4th and easy fifth (notice hiking boots), with crux of exposed 5.5 for about 10 ft at the top of a "leg chimney" a little ways above my position in the pic. Fortunately there's an old pin to which the climber can clip here for some (deceptive?) confidence. Fun climbing on great rock!
