One of many couloirs in the...
One of many couloirs in the Cowen basin, this one is just to the west of the summit mass and leads to the south face or standard route. June 2004 with plenty of snow left.



In the summer, this couloir is said to be steep with lots of loose rock.

This one made it to within 8 feet of the summit - wasn't up for the short chimney at the very top. Our other dog made it up to the summit block, with a little nudging from below.
