This photo was taken appraoching the end of my climb of Medicine Bow Peak on June 27, 2004. Note the ice still in the lake below! This monolitich structure I believe is part of the Medicine Bow group but not Medicine Bow Peak itself. It is I think called "The Diamond" and represents a climb similar to a technical route on Longs Peak in CO. The basin was soggy from snow melt and on top of that, clouds moved in and it started to hail!

...is the name of this face. The Diamond is a little bit farther south from here.
