The cloud in the background...
The cloud in the background boiled up and over the summit just minutes after this pic was taken causing the climbing ranger to ask us to go down as he was concerned about thunderstorm activity. The actual highest point on Shasta is just to the left of Bob (rfbolton) who is about ready to sign the register. We were among the last "allowed" to summit this day as the ranger turned everyone else around that were behind us.
