This is an exciting profile...
This is an exciting profile shot of the Southeast Ridge route on Mount Audubon, as seen from the Blue Lakes trail. The ridge is ascended from the right to the high point at the Notch. Back tracking a bit will reveal easier terrain on the north or south side of the ridge, but exposed moves are bound to be unavoidable. The IU Trekkers descended the north side (not seen here) about fifteen feet, then descended the ridge profile to the tight saddle. The group then ascended the skyline profile out of the notch to flat tundra above, and on to the summit. IU Trekkers outing, Summer, 2004.

Makes that notch look rather tough, doesn't it?

Depending on route choices the notch can be as hard as one would like to make it. Fun place to climb!
