In the runnel leading to the...
In the runnel leading to the top (Ferrari route, three pitches from the ridge).
The fixed rope was installed by Peruvian guides, who prepared the route for a group of 16 climbers summiting two days later :-(
Note the huge ice-mushroom growing from the ridge. It had to be bypassed on the right-hand side (1997).
