Voted 9/10 | Looks a lot like it did when I was up there and turned around from my trip over to Kit Carson. It was clear as a bell until I summited Challenger and got to see what was on the west side. Looked exactly like it does in your pic. Hauled tail down and about 30 minutes after I hit Willow Lake, enormous amounts of cloud to ground lightning! Hasn't voted | Yep. We had a camp just above Willow Lake. We got there and about an hour later it let loose for a couple of hours. I've Kit Carson in one day...twice. It's a brutally long day but worth it, however, camping is better and is certainly the better way to enjoy the mountain. Have fun and good luck with your next visit. | | Posted Jul 24, 2009 6:40 pm |
