How was this ridge in comparison to the North Ridge on Kit?

There is no comparison. The whole route we took (from Roach's RMNP book) was class 2. The bottom of the ridge may be more interesting, but we ran into the cliff where we couldn't continue. I think the bottom part of the ridge may have some short interesting sections of class 4 climbing, but nothing near as sustained as the North Ridge on Kit. Blitzen Ridge on the other hand looks pretty cool! Roach says there are some sections of 5.4-5.6 on it.

The Spectacle Lakes side of the ridge is very sheer (what you're seeing in this photo), but the south side of the ridge (off to the right of this photo) is much more gentle.
