Fay crossing the Quinault on a Tree
This is the large tree that has fallen across the North Fork Quinault River at Sixteenmile Camp and has thus made the ford unnecessary if you don't want to wade in knee-deep water. The tree is around a bend in the river and cannot be seen from the ford area. It's a tad difficult to get up on the tree (needs a boot-notch cut into it) and then a tad difficult to get off of due to a root ball. The idea is to step left using roots for handholds.
