Watch out for rattlesnakes on this hike, I nearly stepped on this guy at about 5700 ft elevation - August, 2004.

Hasn't voted | It was an interesting encounter, we just stared at each other for about 4 or 5 minutes (while i snapped a few photos), then he slowly started to slither away. I would say he was roughly 14 to 16 inches long. He (or she) didn't even make any rattling noises. It was a pretty casual meeting. | | Posted Sep 5, 2004 2:57 am |
