Crystal Peak's south slopes... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Crystal Peak's south slopes...
Crystal Peak's south slopes are seen here from Spruce Creek Basin. The route goes up the center of the face, first on tundra, then through talus and scree. The slopes are initially steep, and rock and gravel is fairly stable. But as always, be aware of loose rock. The route generally goes up just within the cloud shadow to the ridge top just left of the summit.
