A more direct view down the...
A more direct view down the "easy" way up Pilot Rock. The holds are there when they need to be, more or less.

Hard to tell in pictures and I didnt' see any route descriptions. Is the "easy" way class 3, 4, 5?

There's only a short section that could be called class 4 and that's arguable. It's maybe 30 feet or less. (At least under good weather conditions - the rest is 2/3 class - even wet rocks could change that since they are about 30 degrees+ and pretty smooth in places.)



I avoided investingating this thing for years because it looked so formidable from a distance but it's not really bad when you get up close. The "easy" line up the NW cleft is unmistakable.
