Voted 10/10 | I like the way you've decided to cluster the route descriptions (i.e. Mid East Wall & The Feathers). The page set-up makes it also possible for people to insert particular route photos into the right section on the page. | | Posted Jan 17, 2005 5:24 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks man. Yeah, I thought if each route had it's own section, it would really enhance the beta if there was a photo of the route being climbed attached to it. Some nice cracks over there. I will try to finish the other 1/3 of the page tonight.
This weather is depressing. Too wet for rock, and very high avalanche danger for alpine. Hopefully it will get better soon.

Yeap!! No motivation to do anything - quickly putting on some major weight. Really hate the PNW in winter. Take care. | | Posted Jan 18, 2005 12:49 pm |

Hasn't voted | I think it is in the 4 to 6" range. It is called Wide and Curvy (5.9) I believe. It doesn't get any stars in the book but that doesn't really mean anything, as I've found that most people that write guidebooks don't like offwidths. For example, at Tieton there is this sweet looking offwidth just left of MX that isn't even in the guidebook. There are others where the author just ommited them because he figures people don't climb OWs. Index has Tatoosh which gets 0 stars, but has been called a must do on some threads on cc.com. I have looked up at it and it looks really fun! Lame on those authors.
Yeah, some nice cracks out there. Loose rock is only a problem on obscure sport routes. The trad climbs are very solid from my experiences.
Thanks for the vote. | | Posted Nov 9, 2005 5:25 pm |

Think you're right. Guidebook authors put quite a bit of their own preferences / "agenda" into their work.
Can't believe Vantage was dry last weekend while I was flailing on plastic!!!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | Posted Nov 9, 2005 5:42 pm |
