Ouray, Fall, 2004. A great place to relax and restore the soul! Most folks start their climb of Mount Sneffles from this little town known as the "Switzerland of America."

This must have been taken from near the ice climbing park. I do quite a bit of work in the Montrose area and try to get to Ouray at least once or twice a year! Beautiful town.

It depends on what you mean by "near." The Ice Park is up Canyon Creek Road just off the highway. This was taken from near the Amphitheater Campground entrance, just a bit further up the highway. We're looking north toward Ridgway in this shot. The Ice Park is to the left. Ouray is in one of the prettiest settings in the world.
