Pag island is beaten by Bura wind which falls on it from Velebit massif so forcefully that nothing can grow! Gusts over 200km/h are common thing here in cooler part of the year. Pag offers very interesting hiking possibilities in a moon like scenery with fantastic panoramas. Sea on the photo is part of Pag bay. Left of the mid part of the photo spray cloud lifted from the sea surface is visible. When Bura reaches hurricane force it lifts so much spray that it looks like fog above the sea.
