Hard contrast and beautiful light of one of the most beautiful mountains in the alps.

Thanks for sharing.

this is understatement: most climbers think Weisshorn is the _most_ beautiful mountain of the alps

That is absolutely correct. Much more beautiful as Matterhorn, Ama Dablam and others................ I see him every day and it is true

I was speaking of the alps. Ama Dablam plays in another league...

Dear Hiltrud,

we thank you for your nice comment. we (my wife Brigitte and I) didn't know Rahel personally, but we did know her virtually quite good and spoke often from Rahel. She was a little bit an ideal for us. We was in tis unhappy day in August 2004 descending from Mountet hut to Zinal, the weather was terrible, we said: hopefully there is nothing on the big mountains. 2 days later i made this picture from Bishorn to Weisshorn, our first 4000m mountain. Some days later, back in Berchtesgaden, I saw in Internet that Rahel had died. We couldn't believe it, but it was true.
We never will forget her...
Thus this was a very outstanding SP-comment for me and us.

Please excuse my poor english!

... es war wirklich ein Traum: auf dem ersten 4-Tausender und dann dieser Blick!
We had lost for words in front of this beauteousness ... for our English speaking friends ;-)
