Nice job in the comparisons of 1934 to now! I visited Glacier this year and heard a talk by one of the rangers about the receding glaciers. Scary stuff. Nice to see it aptly displayed on SP. Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment, Aaron. I've wanted to go up there and try to match some of those old photos for years and finally had a chance to do it. The weather could have been better but for the time of year wasn't too bad.



I went up to the face of the peak and that is clearly a remnant glacier at the base.



Still going through the archives - might find some more pics.
