Great shot, Tim

One of your best. Tell me about when you're thinking of the SW couloir for next year. I'm more likely to be in the northwestern area of Greater Yellowstone next time, but I don't want to rule anything out.

Re: Great shot, Tim

Thanks so much Bob! I don't have any dates yet - if you were interested, I'd make it happen whenever you were in the area...

Re: Big Pic

Thanks so much - this was probably one of the top three most stunning views I had during a very full year of climbing!

Very informative

Best picture of Granite I've ever seen from this angle--really helpful in seeing the lay of the land.

Re: Very informative

Thank you! It's definitely an imposing mountain and very worthy of being a state highpoint!

This gets my vote ...

Great picture, Tim! Makes me want to go to
Montana this summer, but unfortunately I
have to go to Alaska. Maybe next time ..

Re: Fabulous photo!

Thank you! I know there are some fantastic couloirs to the left of the NW summit, which is the most prominent point in the center. If you climb this face to the NW summit, there's a 5.7 traverse between it and the highpoint on the left of the photo, if I remember my route description info correctly...

Good luck and have fun!

Montana's peaks

Great to see your photos. Looks similar to the Lake O'Hara region in Yoho, British Columbia.

Re: Montana's peaks

Thank you! I've only driven through the SE corner of BC - I need to get up there someday!
