When you are heading out from the NE Face to Emigrant Pass (Devastated Area parking lot), just head towards the SW Face of Raker Peak. If you just follow the Lost Creek gullies you'll end up too far north so keep an eye out on when to cross the gullies. If you are following the West Fork of Hat Creek, you'll end up at Hat Lake and be fine. The parking area is between Raker Peak and Hat Lake. June 9, 2002.
