The horseshoe-shaped 300 foot high walls of Asbyrgi encompass one of the few forests left in Iceland. Legend has it that Odin's horse made this feature. Asbyrgi is not far from Bóndi and is one of the things you can do nearby.

Voted 10/10 | when I first saw this pic, but then read your caption, realized the scale of the photo and the size of those walls! Wow! I had no idea there were any forests in Iceland.
BTW, your trip report is excellent!
