Mt. Adams rises above an inversion layer--one of those annoying view-sapping inversion layers--in this photo taken from Pk 3217 just south of Lakeview Peak, which is about 40 miles to the west. Nice weather can be hard to come by in Western Washington in November. And typically, when it does get "nice," an inversion layer sets up and fuzzes up the views. November 11, 2004.
