The view north from Bugaboo... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
The view north from Bugaboo...
The view north from Bugaboo Spire. Though the peak is commonly approached via the Crescent Glacier, under the East face, the rest of the mountain stands above the Vowell Glacier, which stretches 5 miles (8km), and drains in 3 directions. Mount Conrad (10,670' - 3,252m) is in the distance. The pink in the glacier is red snow algae. Just right of center, sunlight reflects off a small lake surrounded entirely by ice. At this distance, we couldn't see if there were lifeguards on duty.
