Top of first pitch
Just starting out on the second pitch, looking back at Paul Jay belaying me from atop his pedestal/flake. The Eastern snout of the Vowell Glacier is about 1,000' (300m) below. The Glacier also drains to the South and Northwest.

I have almost the same shot in my album - it's a very cool spot to hang out.

I turned the original slide into a 20x30-inch poster print that adorned my apartment, then my house for a decade. I'm always happy to be reminded of such a beautiful place on such a perfect morning.
