Wild Side!Bill, I've taken pictures of the Rockies, but usually within 10-20 km of main highways. It's nice to see pictures further out into wilderness. This and others are awesome. Cheers!

Stanley back in the dayBill. Thanks for posting this. My cousin and I climbed this route in August, 1978. I was terrified. My very first time on a big glacier. Thunder and lightning, wind just over the bergschrund. I thought I was gonna die. But then the sun came out, tools planted perfectly, and we had a beautiful evening on the summit. Got to put my name just below Chouinard‘s who had been there a few days before us. Thanks for posting. Brought great memories of an epic climb.

I also really enjoyed this route on Stanley and was really pleased to have good lighting for this photo when I climbed Storm Mountain.
The Northface route on Stanley is now a popular ski route!
