Upper part of Orljaca valley... [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ]
Upper part of Orljaca valley...
Upper part of Orljaca valley, eastern tributary of Mala Paklenica, seen from Modric route to Sveto Brdo (1751m). Through it very attractive unmarked pathless alternative access to Vlaski Grad refuge leads, especially because of the canyon in lower part. Silver is Orljaca creek. At the point where creek appears is the spot where you have to decide whether to continue straight up towards Vlaski Grad (very steep) or turn left (on the photo, when there towards right) and follow the rocky gorge till you meet Modric route somewhere between Libinje plateau and Vlaski Grad. When water runs strongly, like here, canyon is impassable but most of the time it is dry and creek flows only here in the upper part of the valley.
