The approach to the summit of Pollock Mountain. The trail ascends the west (left) side or one can scramble up the boulders on the south end of the ridge. July 2004.

is that patch of snow there year round?

No its not year round. This picture was taken in early July and by August all the snow is gone up there. At least in most years.

Hey thanks for answering my question. Do you know if there is a glacier in the Seven Devil's wilderness i heard that there is a glacier on He Devil? Thanks again.

No there are no glaciers in the Seven Devils. There are a few patches of snow that last through the summer, but no active glaciation.
