The picture is taken from the bottom of Wimbachgriess, a valley south-east of Hochkalter where huge streams of rubble are slowly floating down like glaciers. The left of the shown summits is Steintalhörnl, followed by Ofentalhörnl and Hochkalter (right).

In the foreground you can see the Griesshütte (1327m), a lodging for ascents to Watzmann, Hochkalter and Steinernes Meer.
