I think a lot has to do with the timing of adding a photo and how many people see it. Then again, the mountian is not very popular or well known so it doesn't see much traffic. But thanks for your comments.

Clydascope,

I thought at first this was from the secluded pond at the upper snow creek
meadow below rock chute, but looking closer it seems more from a Crowley Lake distance.

Actually this shot was taken in an area known as Laurel Meadows, just off Hwy 395 at Sherwin Creek Road. There are a few creeks and ponds that are used for irrigating the meadows for cattle grazing. This particular pond has a natural drain that fluctuates with the season and/or earthquake activity. Last summer the pond was been dry.
