A view down the west side of...
A view down the west side of Fortress Mountain from the top of the East Ridge on September 23, 2000. The cirque is the Small Creek drainage, which dumps out into the Suiattle River beyond. The Buck Creek Trail--north of Buck Creek Pass--passes through this basin at 5,200 ft and then climbs again to Middle Ridge (extending away at upper right). The trail eventually junctions with the Miners Creek Trail near the Suiattle River Trail.
