Hintere Schwärze seen from the Similaun (close-up, July 1990). Left is the north face, right of it are the footprints of the normal route which looks much steeper than it is.

Hi Mathias,

I decided to climb Hintere Schwärze when I saw it last year from Similaun. Really an impressive sight.

You are right, the normal route is much less steep and therefor easier than it might appear on the pictures from this perspective.
