Casaval Ridge Camp | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
One of my favorite camp shots taken during our climb of Casaval Ridge on Mount Shasta. Elevation here is about 9750 feet. Though the weather called for a windy weekend, we had near perfect conditions for our climb. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | Noondueler | Great big mountain shot! | |

Hasn't voted | That's right. The interesting portion of the ridge begins directly above the tent in the photo.
I really loved the views from this camp (and of this camp), had a great look at the route and could look over all all those ascending Avalanche Gulch too. Those so much for the comment Noondueler! | | Posted Dec 4, 2012 6:38 pm |

 | | mrchad9 | Re: tent | |
Hasn't voted | Actually it is the original version of the Marmot Alpinist. Basically the same but the external poles connections it now has would make setup slightly easier.
It's been a pretty good, sturdy tent, but there are probably lighter options available now. | | Posted Dec 5, 2012 10:47 am |

Hasn't voted | I just saw your Shasta summit entry. LOL.
Still need to visit the CO highpoint and maybe do something else there too. Actually I've never climbed anything in CO yet. Maybe next summer. | | Posted Dec 5, 2012 1:45 pm |
