A scenic cruise on perfect rock under clear blue skies will always put a smile on a climber's face. Shirley on the hike down the wash (there IS a trail there - take your time watching for them cairns) after our climb of Moby Dick on New Year's Day 2005. The texture of the granite there reminded me of Joshua Tree (have not climbed there but have at one time fondled a rock there :).
