This is the spot on the southwest ridge where the ridge suddenly makes a steep jump to the summit. Expect some exposure here. Colonalpyat negotiates the difficult but fun terrain.
Colorado's Williams Mountains, a western spur range of the great Sawatch Range.

Hasn't voted | Naw...Ice was a more difficult day by far. More dangerous and a much tougher approach. But this one might have been a little more enjoyable. To bad we ran into some unstable weather that day or we could have added UN13,202 which looked like a lot more of the same. I wussed out due to a potential T-storm that never happened. | | Posted Jan 10, 2005 7:28 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Kane-You did the right thing by not going on to the next mountain. Being caught in a bad storm on such terrain would be very unpleasant indeed. Like I said the other night in the show-In Safety is the Preservation of Your Life!
Great job on these photos. I loved them when you emailed them to me during the summer. They look great on SP. I'm inspired! | | Posted Jan 11, 2005 11:15 pm |

Voted 10/10 | I don’t quite remember this particular view. Did you guys pretty much take the ridge crest? We did some ridge, some east face when it looked more practical. | | Posted Oct 30, 2005 4:10 pm |

Hasn't voted | Yea, if I remember correct, we did sty on the ridge crest. Jim and I alway try to stay on "crests," to make routes more interesting. | | Posted Oct 30, 2005 6:57 pm |
